Hidden deep in the forests of Gansbaai, De Uijlenes is a place that feels like something out of a storybook — and it was the perfect setting for Natasha & TJ’s unforgettable wedding. Their celebration was earthy, joyful, and full of personality, beautifully reflecting who they are as a couple.

As a De Uijlenes wedding photographer, I’m always excited to shoot in this one-of-a-kind location. With towering trees, a cozy forest chapel, and the raw textures of nature all around, it’s a dream venue for couples looking for something authentic and atmospheric.

From the moment I met Natasha (@tasha_kilian) and TJ (@tjaartkilian), I knew their wedding would be full of heart. They radiate joy — the kind that’s infectious. Their connection is real, grounded, and fun-loving. It came through in every glance, every inside joke, and every candid moment captured throughout the day.

The ceremony was held in the forest chapel, surrounded by tall trees, candlelight, and emotional vows. There’s something magical about a wedding in nature — the sound of leaves rustling, birds calling, and the way the light moves through the trees. The quiet intimacy of that setting gave their “I do’s” so much weight and emotion.

Natasha’s Elegant Look with a Natural Twist

Natasha’s makeup, done by the talented team at @overbergbridalartist, was fresh and natural with a soft glow — perfect for an outdoor ceremony. She looked radiant, confident, and completely herself.

TJ’s laid-back yet sharp look matched the relaxed elegance of the venue, and together, they were a picture of effortless style.

Decor, Details & Dance Floor Moments

The decor by @husband_wife_team perfectly blended rustic and romantic elements — warm wood tones, soft florals, twinkling lights, and personal touches that made the day feel like a reflection of Natasha & TJ’s journey together.

And when the formalities ended, @iamdjpepe made sure the party didn’t. The dance floor was on fire, with guests of all ages celebrating well into the night. Some of my favorite candid shots came from this part of the day — uninhibited joy, big laughs, and plenty of love.

As the sun dropped behind the forest line, we stepped away for a few quiet moments with just the two of them. This golden hour light, paired with their energy and the natural beauty of the forest, created portraits that were both cinematic and deeply intimate.
