Ashleigh & Michael’s wedding at Buffelsdrift Game Lodge was one of those days filled with real emotion, laughter and incredible energy.

Set just outside Oudtshoorn in the heart of the Klein Karoo, Buffelsdrift is surrounded by beautiful open landscapes, a natural waterhole and the dramatic Swartberg Mountains — an amazing setting for a relaxed South African wedding.

From the quiet moments before the ceremony to the celebrations on the dance floor, we approached the day the way we love to capture weddings: naturally and unobtrusively, allowing the real moments to unfold while being there to gently guide when needed.

The beautiful Karoo light and wide-open landscape made the couple shoot particularly special, giving Ashleigh & Michael time to step away together and enjoy a little bit of calm before heading back to celebrate with everyone.
